The forthcoming issue of Religion and Gender (no. 1, 2014) is dedicated to 'Pussy Riot as Litmus Paper: Political Protest and Religious Culture'. Guest editors are Heleen Zorgdrager and Katja Tolstaja.
Religion and Gender congratulates its following editors with their recent academic achievements:
Chia Longman, who was appointed as Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at Ghent University, Belgium.
Sarah Bracke, who was awarded a post as Research Associate in the Women's Studies in Religion Programme at Harvard Divinity School.
Introduction of a Sensitive Publication Fees Model
From 1 January 2013, Religion and Gender implements the policy of an imperative but non-compulsory model of publication fees or article processing charges. Read here for more information about this policy.
The 2012 acceptance rate of articles submitted to Religion and Gender was 11%. Through a rigorous peer review procedure only the best quality articles are selected for publication in the journal.
